The University of Washington operates or hosts approximately 200 programs and activities involving over 94,000 minors each year. UW leadership is committed to ensuring that children who engage with the university are protected from harm and have a high-quality experience, Doctor for a Day volunteers are held to this same high standard. Participation in DFAD requires that volunteers confirm completion of the following training materials
Medical Students

REQUIRED Training and Assessment for all DFAD employees and volunteers:
- Video and assessment: Reporting Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect
- Training: Promoting Safe Interactions with Youth

Please print and sign the request to participate and return it to your residency program director. This must also be signed by the GME office, so please submit no less than 2 weeks prior to the event date.
